YBAC History
The Yellow Breeches Anglers & Conservation Association, Inc. was founded in 1961 by a group of dedicated trout fisherman and conservationists.
YBAC is part of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's Cooperative Nursery Program. The Commission provides the club with fingerling trout to be raised and stocked in the Yellow Breeches Creek as a supplement to the Commission's stocking. The area stocked with club trout covers over 20 miles of stream open to public fishing, as well as the Catch and Release special regulations section, and Children's Lake in Boiling Springs, PA. Stocking in the Yellow Breeches begins two miles above Rte. 34 and continues downstream to the area known as Williams Grove. Stocking dates are scheduled in a manner which provides excellent opportunities for trout fishing to the public all year long. Float stocking is generally the rule, and is done at 28 stops along the stream. In addition, we sponsor five youth fishing derbys each year, one of which is our Special Needs Fishing Derby.
General membership meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday each month at 7:00pm at the nursery (437 Stought Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015). The Directors Meeting is held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the nursery. (except December) All members are welcome to attend any meetings.
YBAC membership is open to all individuals who are interested in assisting us in our efforts, as well as reaping the benefits of those efforts.
